Lithographs – Views, Costumes and Botany
Lithography was invented at the end of the 18th century. The artist draws with greasy crayon or ink directly on the stone. The collection includes costume plates after Édouard Pingret of 1824, a hand-coloured view of Geneva, Hünenberg and Rothenthurm, a botanical plate by Day & Haghe and a modern colour lithograph.
