This finely executed lithograph by A. Kleine of St. Gallen depicts the 'Gesellschaftshaus zur Warth' in Hünenberg around 1880 – a document of Eastern Swiss local history. The detailed figure staffage with playing children and strollers gives the view a lively genre character. Signed, with a descriptive label on the reverse and provenance from the respected Kunst-Antiquariat Hermann Koller in Zug, the sheet is exceptionally well documented.
Provenance
A signed original lithograph by A. Kleine (St. Gallen) of the Gesellschaftshaus zur Warth in Hünenberg, made around 1880. The work comes from the Kunst-Antiquariat Hermann Koller, Alte Stiche & Aquarelle, Baarerstr. 47, 6300 Zug, a house long known for fine Swiss prints. The inscription on the back confirms subject, artist and date and makes the sheet a well-documented collector's piece.
