About the Collection

Rahmengold is a curated private collection of historical Swiss prints from the 17th to the 20th century. Copper engravings, steel engravings, aquatints, woodcuts and lithographs — framed, documented and with provenance.

The collection is based in Zug, in the region around the birthplace of Johanna Spyri (Hirzel), author of the Heidi stories.

Every work is carefully recorded, photographed and placed in its art-historical context.
