Closs, Stuttgart – Wood Engravings of Swiss Views

The Closs xylographic studio in Stuttgart supplied wood engravings for lavishly illustrated books in the 19th century. The prints here were engraved by Meyer: two hand-coloured views of Lake Zug, “Le lac de Zoug”, and the Faulenbach falls in the Erstfeld valley in the canton of Uri.
