About the Work

A winter mood at the Reussspitz, where the Lorze flows into the Reuss: hoarfrost, golden reeds and a birch set against a pale winter sky. The artist cut the scene into several woodblocks. The fine wood grain and the layered blues and ochres give the sheet a quiet, almost tangible chill. Hand-signed, titled and numbered 6/135, it is a genuine original print with a strong local identity for lovers of the Zug landscape.

Das Blatt ist unten mit Bleistift betitelt »Rauhreif im Reuss Spitz«, als Exemplar 6 von 135 nummeriert und vom Künstler eigenhändig signiert. Es zeigt das Naturschutzgebiet Reussspitz an der Lorzemündung bei Hünenberg und verbindet so Originalgrafik mit einem konkreten Ort im Kanton Zug. Es ist in einem schlichten Aluminiumrahmen unter Glas gerahmt und sofort hängefertig.
