Dieses Blatt kam eingerahmt aus der Kunsthandlung A. Weiersmüller, Rathausplatz 5, Thun – einem traditionsreichen Schweizer Kunsthandel, dessen Etikett rückseitig noch vollständig erhalten ist. Die Einrahmung mit feinem Passepartout und Goldrahmen entspricht dem hochwertigen Anspruch, mit dem Weiersmüller bekannt war. Der Stich zeigt den Triumphzug mit dem legendären Zelt Karls des Kühnen von Burgund – jenes Herzogs, der 1476 bei Grandson und Murten gegen die Eidgenossen unterlag und dessen erbeutete Schätze in die Schweizer Kathedralen eingingen. Ein Blatt, das Schweizer Geschichte und europäische Ritterromantik in einem Bild vereint, aus solidem Schweizer Kunsthandels-Nachlass, sofort hängefertig.
