Das Motiv – das Bauernhaus 'Bärtschof' in Melchnau – wurde im Juni 1962 vor Ort gezeichnet und vom Künstler 'C. Rechsteiner' signiert. Ein authentisches Zeugnis regionaler Baukultur, das ein reales, benennbares Gebäude im Oberaargau festhält.
